Over the past few years
we have tried to establish an efficient means of selling the baskets
over the web, this has proven to be extemely difficult. The main
difficulty is that the closest post office is in Darwin, about 600km
from Mapuru.
We do however expect the situation to change in late 2010 when we hope
the
residents will be given approval to operate their own school. The
Arnhem Weavers women are determined their cultural tours will be part
of an inclusive school curriculum.
